Dear Universe, I Love Writing

So! It’s been ages since I’ve updated this, but it’s because I’ve been busy writing the next book in this series and trying to make sure my family don’t starve by working a real job.

The problem is that the next book has accidentally turned into three books, which may go some way in explaining why I haven’t been so proactive in updating the website.

More importantly, I’ve never been good at self-promotion. I just feel uncomfortable when I do it.

So (again)! I’m just not going to do it for a while as I finish the next stories.

I would be grateful if you’d check out my book on Amazon.com and its affiliates to help pay for my kids to go to university.

The next one is coming soon.

Check out the Kizuna Histories for free on Royal Road.

These are the Kizuna Histories, a generation-spanning roadmap transporting us to the point when Enoch, a 28th-century space waste transport engineer, gets caught up in a whole whirly-gig of aliens, pirates, evil empires, and snarky AIs in Kizuna: Or How to Lose a Spaceship and Still Go Places.

The Kizuna Histories touch upon how our world might change over the centuries if we knew that aliens existed but were ghosted after the first message was received.

These tales of tragedy and triumph, humour and heroism, explore one of the many paths humanity may take as it forges a path into the future.

Kizuna Histories is updated one to three times a week.

Alien ship – design drawings external only

So, I’ve spent way more time than is healthy on creating this universe. And to be honest, the most fun I had was trying to imagine how the different species would go about travelling the stars. This is a basic SketchUp drawing of what the alien ship looks like when the radiator panels are out and it’s spinning to generate an artificial sense of gravity.

Free chapters of the next book on Royal Road!

Hey there! If you’ve already read my book, now you can read the next one in serialisation on Royal Road right here at Kizuna – Histories of a Universe that Hasn’t Happened (Yet).

There will be a new part every day for the next week or two, and then it will update three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings Japan time.

Let me know what you think!

And here is a doodle I made when trying to figure out how big the Church’s ship would be. Enoch is not to scale.

Aaaaand now it’s released…

…but I’m not sure what to do next.

I threw my book up on Amazon. Mostly because it’s already done, it’s not going to get better than it is, and I really wanted to start working on the next part of the story.

Little did I know that the writing of the book was the easy part. Man, selling it is tough.

On the off chance you want a chuckle while reading your waterproof e-reader in the bath, buy it here at Amazon.
